Hello! My name is Annabel Bloom and I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and have now lived in both Chapel Hill and Durham. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in Health Policy and Management. During college, I volunteered as a certified application counselor in a free clinic, helping to enroll patients in health insurance with the goal of reducing the uninsured rate in NC. I also enjoyed working with children as both a tutor and dance teacher. In the following two years, I served as an AmeriCorps MedServe Fellow at University of North Carolina Family Medicine, as both a case manager for patients with chronic conditions and as a medical assistant. My current clinical interests include obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics. I am passionate about maternal and child health and reducing health disparities in pediatric populations. As a clinician, I look forward to being engaged with health policy and education.
