Angel Artis is the HR Departmental Manager for the School of Medicine, Office of Academic Solutions, Information Technology, Office of Clinical Research, Early Phase Research, and the Office of Regulatory Affairs & Quality. In this role, she manages and coordinates personnel activities to include recruitment, placement and termination of employees, classification and salary administration, interpretation of personnel policies, and employee relations functions to meet University and departmental objectives.
She has worked with Duke since February 2021 as a HR Generalist for Duke Hospital Medicine Programs. Angel has 20 years of diverse business leadership experience in HR, performance management, organizational change, and training gained in the banking industry. Angel holds a master’s degree from Belhaven University in Business Leadership, Human Resources.
