Ana Baez-Castillo is a Sonographer in the Department of OB/GYN at Duke Fertility Center and Duke Women’s Health Arringdon. She has over 12 years of experience providing ultrasound services across fertility, obstetrics, gynecology, MIGS and adolescent patients. Ana’s passion for women’s health advocacy and her commitment to excellence have earned her two service champion awards at Duke Health in her short tenure here. Prior to joining Duke, Ana was an integral part of the team at Extend Fertility, where she helped found the function within the company, inclusive of implementing processes, training staff, and establishing best practices. Ana holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Charleston Southern University, is registered with the American registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with a specialty in OBGYN and is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. She is currently pursuing her birth doula, postpartum doula and childbirth educator certifications with intent to provide these services to our Latiné and underprivileged communities throughout NC.
Ana currently resides in Durham, NC, where she moved from her native New York City to be closer to her sister and 4-year-old niece. She is first-generation Dominican American and is very proud of her heritage. In her free time, Ana enjoys decorating, planning, quality time with family and friends, community work, volunteering, and travel. She is very excited to join DALHE as the network event coordinator and looks forward to collaborating with the DALHE team members.
