Hi! My name is Alexys, and I'm an MS2, starting my clinical rotation year! I'm from Douglasville, GA, a town right outside Atlanta, and I went to the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Africana Studies. After college, I took two gap years working as an ophthalmic assistant before starting medical school.

Since starting school, I've been involved in the Black Maternal Health Equity Initiative, Student National Medical Association, BOOST Beyond Mentoring Program, Anesthesiologist Interest Group, and I run the DukeMDProgram Instagram page!
