Hi! My name is Alexys, and I’m an MS1 just getting started at DukeMed. I’m from Douglasville, GA, a town right outside Atlanta, and I went to the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Africana Studies. After college, I took two gap years working as an ophthalmic assistant before starting medical school.
I’m still learning my way around DukeMed, but I’m excited to dive into community service, join student interest groups, get involved with research, and explore everything Durham has to offer.
