Hi y’all! My name is Alexa and I am a current MS2 from the Bay Area. After graduating from Stanford in 2021, I worked at an FQHC, realized I wanted to go to med school, completed a post-bacc program at Bryn Mawr, and scribed for an orthopedic surgeon while applying. Here at Duke Med, I am involved with the Pediatrics Interest Group, HEY Durham (teaching health class to local high schoolers), Root Causes (distributing fresh produce to families attending WCVs), and much more. In my free time, I love pickup volleyball and pickle ball, hiking/backpacking, singing/any live music, Duke basketball games, and checking out new breweries and food spots in Durham with friends.
