Slides/Video posted from the new Research Town Hall Series

By Joanna Downer, Associate Dean for Research Development, School of Medicine

Slides and video are now available from the first two presentations in a new Duke-wide town hall series relevant to research – from grant applications to research management, and everything in between.

The first session on April 26 was a presentation I gave on “NIH applications: Partners, Responsibilities, & Tips for Success”, and the second on May 29 included an institutional update and a panel discussion on approaches to convey research quality in applications and to establish an environment of quality in practice. Panelists for the discussion hailed from the Schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Engineering, and represented both individual and collaborative research settings. I expect to present a few of the ideas discussed in future blog posts.

Visit the grantsupport.duke.edu website to access the slides and video from these sessions; future town hall materials will also be placed there. Your suggestions of topics for this town hall series is welcome at https://tinyurl.com/NIHpresentationsurvey.
