School of Medicine announces it won't increase tuition for coming academic year

August 2, 2020

Dear Duke University School of Medicine Students,

In alignment with an announcement made yesterday by Duke University President Vincent Price and Provost Sally Kornbluth, indicating that Duke will freeze undergraduate tuition to the same level as the 2019-2020 academic year, the School of Medicine has made the decision to do the same for all School of Medicine educational programs.

The School of Medicine recognizes that our students and their families are faced with unprecedented challenges brought about by COVID-19. Therefore, tuition for the Medical Degree (MD), Physician Assistant (PA), and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs, and all Masters Programs in the School of Medicine will not increase for the coming academic year.

Throughout this pandemic, our School of Medicine community of faculty, staff and students has demonstrated commitment, innovation, and flexibility as we continue to prioritize providing an outstanding educational and training experience for all of our students, preparing each of you for lifelong learning and service to the community. I have never been more proud to be a part of the Duke community and I look forward to the year ahead.

Sincerely,

Mary E. Klotman, MD, Dean
Duke University School of Medicine
