Report Shows that N.C. K-12 Schools Reopened Safely, Paving the Way for Schools Nationwide to Limit COVID-19 Spread in the Classroom

 A new report issued today by the Duke-led ABC Science Collaborative shows that North Carolina schools were highly successful in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 within school buildings and offers science-based learnings for the nation’s schools to limit COVID-19 spread. 

The report is accompanied by “COVID-19 and Schools: The Year in Review and a Path Forward” that reviews the latest science coming out of North Carolina and around the world to provide a set of key takeaways to help school leaders and policymakers plan a path forward for safely resuming in-person instruction during the 2021-2022 school year.
