Durham-based genome editing company, Precision BioSciences, has announced plans to hire at least 60 Triangle area employees over the next year. The Triangle Business Journal reports the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the company’s Investigational New Drug (IND) for clinical trials. Using its proprietary genome editing platform, Precision BioSciences develops potential products for CAR T immunotheraphy, in vivo gene correction and food.
