What is OnCore?
OnCore is the new Clinical Research Management System that will be implemented across Duke for all clinical research conducted at Duke. It tracks protocol data, subject enrollment and status, and financials.
Who will use OnCore?
Any study that gets approved through the DUHS IRB will have a study created in OnCore. Enrollment in OnCore will include all Duke patients with records in Maestro Care and all subjects or participants that do not have Duke MRN’s. The expectation is that all clinical studies that are in OnCore will be managed by the study team in OnCore as the study moves from initiation to closure.
What is the Stop Light Evaluation?
The Stop Light evaluation is an opportunity for the research community to view the workflows within OnCore and provide feedback. The workflows include startup, subject tracking, financials, IRB, and closure activities.
Do I need to attend?
If you have staff that will be using OnCore for tracking protocols, subjects and financials then it will be an opportunity to see the workflows. If you are unable to attend or feel that this is not relevant to your current role or work at Duke, that is OK. The workflows are posted below for your review if you find that you do want to learn more.
- Protocol Start-Up
- Participant Registration and Participant Visit Tracking
- Study Invoicing and Tracking
- Protocol Amendment
- Study Closure
How am I supposed to provide feedback on the workflows?
If you attend in person, you will be handed a scorecard to vote either green or red for the workflows. If you vote red, we ask that you provide comments and your email address so we can follow up with you. If you attend online please complete the REDCap survey.
