Nominations are now open for the 2020 Michelle Winn Inclusive Excellence Award!

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion invites all members of the Duke School of Medicine to nominate a student, staff, trainee (i.e. intern/resident/fellow) or faculty member in the School of Medicine for this important award. One staff member and one faculty member will be chosen for the award and multiple trainees may receive the award. Nominations should include specific examples of the individual’s exemplary achievements and contributions towards inclusive excellence by means of service, leadership, research, or education.

To nominate someone for this award, please provide a letter clearly stating why this person should be honored. Each faculty or staff nominee will also require a brief statement of support for their nomination from their Department/Institute Chair or Division Chief (either is appropriate) at the time the nomination letter is submitted. Student and intern/resident nominations should include a letter of support from their Advisory Dean, Advisor, or Program Director with the nomination letter. You may submit one or more nominations but separate nomination forms must be submitted for each individual. The nomination letter should contain the following information:

  • Nominator’s Email Address
  • For student/resident nominee: Letter of Support Writer’s Name (Advisor, Advisory Dean, Program Director)
