National Day of Encouragement

A little encouragement can go a long way, and seeds planted in one season can flourish and bear fruit well into the future.

Following the lead set in 2025 by Patrick Lester of DPT Student Affairs, Le Well hosted a lunchtime celebration on Friday, September 11, 2026, honoring National Encouragement Day (which takes place annually on September 12).

A wonderful interprofessional community of students, faculty, staff and volunteers painted rocks, colored inspirational and meditative pages, enjoyed spending time with affectionate dogs, ate pizza and engaged in brief mindfulness strategies to reset their parasympathetic nervous systems.

You can do it. You are enough. Remember to breathe. You matter. Le Well is here to help you identify and access services to support you.

Thanks to all of the students who attended and to canine volunteers Faith, Mea and their human handlers from Pet Partners; Dr. Nirali Dubal, wellness coach and mindfulness expert; Drs. Jeff Hoder and Tiffany Hilton; Jeanine Bandini and Jashi Abhirajan for their contributions to an incredible atmosphere of support, encouragement and community.
