The extended myRESEARCHhome team quickly brainstormed, mobilized, and executed to help researchers adapt to the new normal. By updating the research dashboard (https://mrh.duke.edu), they are bringing clarity to researchers in a time of chaos. This effort required virtual white-boarding, rapid fire prototyping, and late-night testing and debugging. The portal now highlights a central intake mechanism for all research activities, which sets off better triaging and coordination to facilitate teams’ work. It also includes critical documents researchers need to adjust their activities; it puts COVID-19 funding opportunities in one spot with no searching needed; and it helps teams form connections and collaborations when formulating their own new ideas. The myRESEARCHhome team includes amazing developers, programmers, analysts, and outreach – all of whom came together to make it happen in record time. The team is comprised of several staff in the Office of Academic Solutions and Information Systems (OASIS) in partnership with the Duke Office of Research Initiatives and the Office of Research Administration. Shout out to this amazing team for what they are doing to support our researchers in fighting this pandemic!
