Memorial Service and Reception for Dr. Brenda Armstrong

A memorial service for Brenda Armstrong, MD, professor of pediatrics (cardiology) and senior associate dean for student diversity, recruitment, and retention in the Duke University School of Medicine, will be held at Duke University Chapel on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 3 p.m. The service will be open to the Duke community and the public.

A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Trent Semans Center for Health Education on the sixth floor. The Trent Semans Center is located on the Duke University campus at 8 Searle Center Drive, Durham, NC 27710, behind the Bryan Research building and next to the Medical Center Library & Archives.

Duke faculty, staff, and guests attending the memorial service in the Chapel are directed to park in the Chemistry Lot, Circuit Lot or Bryan Center Parking Garage. For those on campus, walking is encouraged due to expected heavy traffic.

Drop off will be available from the Bryan Center Parking Lot located behind Duke Chapel and near the accessible entrance to the Chapel.

Transportation from the Chapel to the reception at the Trent Semans Center will be available. Shuttles will be parked in the Bryan Center Parking Lot following the service.

A livestream of Dr. Armstrong’s memorial service will be available on the Duke Chapel website and on YouTube
