Medical School ranked among nation’s top 10

Duke University School of Medicine ranked among the top ten medical schools in the country, according to new U.S. News & World Report graduate and professional school rankings. The School of Medicine ranked eighth for research.

Duke’s Physician Assistant Program ranked number one among all programs in the nation. 

Five key specialties at Duke also placed in the top 10 in the nation, including:

  • Family medicine, ranked 3rd;
  • Internal medicine, ranked 4th;
  • Geriatrics, ranked 6th;
  • AIDS, ranked 9th;
  • Women’s health, ranked 9th.

The U.S. News rankings are based on a combination of statistical data and expert assessment surveys.
