Durham-based, Arbiom, an agtech company, is expanding its local operations. Plans for a commercial manufacturing facility in the Triangle are underway. Arbiom is working on a yeast single cell protein derived from wood waste. The Triangle Business Journal today reported the company believes its product, Sylpro, will alleviate food security and environmental concerns by providing a cheaper, more sustainable, livestock feed.
