Jonathan McCall, MS, communications director for Duke Forge, will help demystify the publishing process—from the nuts and bolts of manuscript preparation to the nuances of the review process – highlighting practical issues that are often learned the hard way by first-time authors. A communications professional with more than 14 years of experience guiding scholarly works into print, Jonathan will address a number of issues essential to successful publication. This 1.5-hour session will include both lecture and discussion, allowing for ample dialogue regarding different publishing scenarios that a new scholar might encounter.
