Dr. Schneider is our fearless hospitalist leader at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital and has been working 12+ hour days every day to help the VA prepare for COVID-19. He has been instrumental in creating numerous COVID-19 guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and workflow changes and has a hand in everything from training us to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to creating new schedules and recruiting specialists to staff general medicine. I don't know where our VA preparedness would be without him and he deserves a MEDAL for his work!!
