New Certification Pathway
Beginning with the upcoming cycle, employees in the CRC, CRNC, Regulatory Coordinator and Clinical Data Manager classifications will have an additional pathway to Tier Advancement. An approved professional certification may be used in place of the required competency points. This change does not impact the RPL Tier Advancement process. Certification replaces the point requirement, but employees will still need to meet all other applicable Tier Advancement requirements (outlined in the WE-R Hiring & Tier Advancement Guidance for Clinical Research Professional Staff), including portfolio review for Tier 3 advancement. Your certification must be active, prior certification that has lapsed will not be considered.
This new process is limited to only the approved professional certifications listed below:
- ACRP-CP (ACRP Certified Professional) – Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Reference: ACRP Certifications
- CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator) – Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Reference: ACRP Certifications
- CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) – Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA). Reference: SoCRA Certification
- CCDM (Certified Clinical Data Manager) – Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM). Reference: SCDM Certification
- RAC (Regulatory Affairs Certification – Drugs or Devices) – Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). Reference: RAPS Certification
