Starting a new faculty appointment is an exciting and challenging opportunity, and whether you joined Duke this month or last year, the School of Medicine Office for Faculty wants to make sure you have the tools and support to hit the ground running and to navigate your career here. This is part of the School of Medicine Academic New Faculty Orientation seminar series. This session aims to increase understanding of Duke's role in ensuring research integrity. Participants will learn about resources for data stewardship and provenance, hear from animal program leadership about expectations for PI's working on animal studies and about Duke's animal program more generally, and be introduced to the School of Medicine's core facilities and learn how they can advance research and partner with faculty on equipment needs. This seminar will be most relevant for faculty in the basic sciences.
