On Tuesday, 5/7/24, from 5:30 - 7:00pm, we will explore the idea of Vulnerability in Medicine. Directly relating to the idea that we must be "perfect" at all times, we often fear that the slightest admission of struggle means we are not equipped to do our future jobs. Our panelists will share their experiences in expressing vulnerability, with the goal of humanizing our experiences as perfectly imperfect providers. The following panelists will share their stories: Jacqui Barnett, DHSc,MHS, PA-C; Division Chief, Division of Physician Assistant Studies, Program Director Duke Physician Assistant Program Jeff Hoder, PT, DPT; Director of Student Affairs; Associate Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery, Core Faculty Kiani Gardner, PhD; Assistant Professor of the Practice of Medical Education Leonor Corsino, MD, MHS; Associate Professor of Medicine, Associate Professor in Population Health Sciences This session will occur in-person at the TSCHE Learning Hall, and dinner will be provided!
