Functional assessment and rehabilitation of older adults with acute heart failure: Lessons from REHAB-HF Division of Geriatrics weekly grand rounds series. Dr. Amy M. Pastva, PT, MA, PhD, is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Medicine, Population Health Sciences, and Cell Biology at Duke University, a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute, and Director of Research in the Physical Therapy Division. She is also a Senior Fellow in the Duke Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development and is Co-Lead of the Health and Mobility Measures Core of the Duke Pepper Older American Independence Center. Her work focuses on care transition and physical rehabilitative interventions for medically-complex and older adult populations, especially those with serious illness such as heart failure, stroke, and respiratory failure.
