In honor of Dr. Eleanor Branch, a Distinguished Professor and Mentor, Duke PT faculty and alumni instituted the Branch Lectureship in 1992. This event is held during graduation week each year as a special event for our students, staff, and the medical center community. Each invited lecturer is asked to focus on an aspect of the sociological, historical, humanistic, or ethical aspect of providing health care. From 1992 to 2019, 29 lecturers have been invited to Duke to honor Dr. Branch.
