We are excited to invite you to the March 2024 UREF Community Building Session. This session follows a successful meeting at the fall 2023 New Faculty Orientation, and will involve continued group discussion and networking with your peers. New and past attendees are welcome and encouraged to attend. Lunch will be served. Hosted by: This session is hosted by the School of Medicine offices for Faculty and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The session will be moderated by Giselle López, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor, Pathology and Katherine Ramos, PhD, Assistant Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Session Goals: • Get to know and network with your fellow new UREF across the Duke School of Medicine • Facilitate community building through shared experiences • Facilitate peer mentoring on common career challenges Who Should attend? Any faculty member, trainee or student in the Schools of Medicine and Nursing, of any race or gender who supports the objective of the Community Building Session for Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Faculty are invited to attend. UREF in the School of Medicine hired in the last three years are strongly encouraged to attend.
