Welcome Paige Vinson, Student Services & DEI Coordinator

We are excited to welcome student services and DEI coordinator Paige Vinson, who begins on March 11.

Paige shared, "For fun, I walk…and walk! I love taking life at a slower and more mindful pace, providing the quiet and calm that allows reflection. My longest walk was the 400 miles of the Camino de Santiago I hiked in 1990. I continue to share the lessons of that walk with students. The most relevant of which for Duke students has been that there is no single path to one’s destination, and one’s thirst for the fountain lights the way. Takeaway: one can trust that the path one takes will be unique to oneself and may not be the path one thought one should take or was told to take.

I have served Duke graduates, undergraduate students, and postdocs for 15 years as an advisor, a program coordinator, an advocate, and a bridge. I enjoy connecting students with abundant resources, support, and opportunities at Duke. Also, I am a certified health and well-being coach, a Koru/MIEA mindfulness instructor, and an intercultural trainer.

In addition, I’ve had the privilege to attend trainings led by the Racial Equity Institute, the Racial Equity Learning ARC, and The Skidmore College Campus Restorative Justice Training.

I am thrilled to join the DPT team!"
