This week, Duke DPT welcomed back Stephanie Milosovic, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, a 2012 graduate of our program and former teaching assistant. Milosovic is the new exercise physiologist and will work closely with Division Chief Todd Cade, PT, PhD, and Senthil Selvaraj, MD, to help with their studies. She began on July 10

Milosovic is an experienced orthopedic physical therapist who has built a successful career at Duke and UNC Health. At UNC she worked as a clinical specialist for close to a decade.  She was a mentor in the orthopedic residency program, a clinical mentor for staff, and a student instructor.  While at UNC she had the opportunity to focus on research and evidence-based practices and led the protocol development team at UNC. This experience prompted her career interests to lean toward research and its applications to the PT practice.

She is an active member of the APTA Orthopedic Section and former chair of the NCPTA Orthopedic Special Interest Group. She also served as the Capital District chair and member of the Board of Directors for APTA NC from 2020 to 2021.  She currently leads the APTA NC Scholarship Committee.

Milosovic is a proud mother of two sons, Landon, 8, and Ethan, 6. She and her family enjoy chasing waterfalls, catching waves at the beach, and discovering new area restaurants. She is excited to be back home at Duke DPT and can now speak freely about the best basketball team in the country. “Go DUKE!,” she says.
