Among the notable contributors, Faculty Development Residency graduate Jack Magill served as the Poster Chair, while Marcus Roll ‘11 took on the role of Programming Chair, ensuring the event ran with unparalleled smoothness and effectiveness.
The Saturday awards banquet was a highlight, with several Duke affiliates receiving prestigious recognitions. Third-year student Halle Anderson was honored with the Advocacy Student Scholarship, new graduate Alyssa Bush ’24 received the Ben Massey Student Scholarship, and alum Dean McCall ’04 was awarded the Founders Lectureship Award.
Several alumni attended the concurrent APTA North Carolina Board of Directors meeting. These included Rosie Canizares ’07, Director of Communications; Marissa Araujo Carvalho ’12, Director of Payer Relations; Victoria Lamb Smith ’07, Pediatrics SIG Chair; and Moyo Aremu-Cole Tillery ’11, Student Scholarship Committee Chair. Third-year student Said Mendez also participated as the new Student SIG Chair.
