Effective Practices at All Stages of the Faculty Hiring Process
Duke is committed to holding rigorous and equitable searches to recruit and hire the most talented faculty into our community. The Office for Faculty Advancement (OFA) and the Office for Institutional Equity (OIE) are offering two in-person and one virtual workshop this fall for faculty serving on search committees and staff who support faculty searches. Faculty who participated in fall 2022 workshops are not asked to repeat the content until fall 2024. Faculty attending this year will not be asked to repeat the content until fall 2025.
The sessions will be led by colleagues and experts who are available to assist departments with different aspects of the search, as well as share resources, strategies and effective practices for each stage of the process.
