A new cohort of distinguished professors in the Duke University School of Medicine was honored recently. These distinguished professors represent exceptional achievement and reflect the school’s commitment to attracting and retaining diverse faculty whose wide range of backgrounds and experiences enrich the academic environment. A significant number of them focus their scholarly work specifically on health equity and are committed to reducing disparities.
In addition to the new distinguished professors, the recently announced tenured and full professors and faculty award winners also reflect the exceptional achievements of faculty from underrepresented in medicine groups.
