The mission of the Office of Biomedical Graduate Education (OBGE) is to provide School of Medicine (SoM) PhD students with knowledge of and direct experience in research and professional skills that will position them for a range of careers in the biomedical workforce. OBGE strives to provide student-centered programming that follows NIH expectations for preparing trainees to conduct research and successfully seek research careers. Through a variety of courses, seminars, workshops, coaching, and award opportunities, we support a healthy, well-balanced PhD pathway that adapts to fit individual student strengths, goals, and timelines and develops successful and career-ready leaders in the biomedical science field.
