The Sequencing and Genomic Technologies core facility has acquired a new sequencing platform. The llumina NextSeq 1000 produces 100-400 M reads at a variety of read lengths, including 300 bp paired-end reads at a fraction of the price of the NextSeq 500 and MiSeq.
SGT is currently taking orders and will release NextSeq 1000 on January 30, 2023.
The data produced by NextSeq 1000 is equivalent to that of the NextSeq 500 at a reduced price. As such, SGT will retire NextSeq 500 on April 14, 2023. If you are finishing a current project, please submit samples by March 27, 2023.
