The Sequencing and Genomic Technologies Core Facility has an opening for a Lab Research Analyst.
The successful candidate for this position will conduct a variety of complex and independent activities involved in the planning and execution of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) assays within the overall scope of research projects conducted at the SGT. The candidate will correspond and collaborate with researchers and scientists from multiple disciplines across Duke’s campus to deliver a broad range of high-quality NGS data sets within a given timeframe. The candidate will operate technical laboratory instruments and equipment such as automated liquid handlers and state-of-the art sequencers. Due to the need to engage in multiple projects simultaneously, it is critical that this person has excellent organizational and time management skills to perform experiments effectively. Additionally, the incumbent will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to learn, exceptional problem-solving skills, and actively supports an inclusive and collaborative work environment. This position reports to the Director.
