Harvesting Justice – Farmworker Health and the Climate Crisis

Share

On March 21, join OTD faculty member Denise Nepveux, PhD, OTR/L, and various university, government, and nonprofit organizations across the state for sessions that will address multifaceted ways the climate crisis intersects with the everyday activities of farmworkers – for example, dangerously high average temperatures during farming seasons – and emerging strategies for the protection of farmworker health, safety, and rights.

The North Carolina Farmworker Institute participants share skills, knowledge, and resources through presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities. The goal is to provide a venue for information sharing and promote collaboration among those serving and advocating for and with North Carolina farmworkers and their families.
