Duke University (Duke) and Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) are seeking applications for collaborative research pilot projects that bring together faculty from both institutions. This year's research theme is “Comparing USA and Singapore Populations Using Novel Technologies and Strategies.”
Projects should analyze clinical cohorts from Singapore and Durham using novel technologies (e.g., genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, imaging) and analytical strategies (e.g., artificial intelligence, federated learning) to clarify the basis of these differences. The review committee will prioritize projects with strong potential for commercialization or industry collaborations in both countries.
Each application must be submitted by a team of two researchers—one from Duke and one from Duke-NUS—who have been identified before applying. Each selected project will receive $100,000 USD for the Duke principal investigator (PI) and $100,000 SGD for the Duke-NUS PI. Applications will be evaluated based on scientific merit and the strength and clarity of the collaboration between the Duke and Duke-NUS Co-PIs.
Interested applicants must submit an online application by 11:59 p.m. EST on April 18, 2025.
