We’re proud to share that Erik Carvalho, PT, DPT, MHA—a Duke DPT alum and long‑standing leader within Duke Orthopaedics—was recently featured by the Duke Health Integrated Practice (DHIP) for his promotion to Ambulatory Operations Director (AOD), Orthopaedics.

Erik brings more than 15 years of leadership in clinical operations, education, and innovation. Most recently, he guided one of our highest‑volume practices at Orthopaedics Arringdon, driving meaningful improvements in staffing, patient experience, team engagement, and operational efficiency.

His forward‑thinking approach—including collaborations on AI‑enabled tools and support for clinical research and training programs—continues to strengthen the future of orthopaedic care at Duke.
