Building Pathways: 4th Annual High School ImpACT Program

Share

On June 26–27, Duke’s Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs came together to host the 4th Annual High School ImpACT Program. We welcomed eight students from City of Medicine Academy and Hillside High School for two days of hands-on learning, exploration, and connection centered around health, wellness, and the impactful roles of OTs and PTs in our communities.

This collaborative effort reflects our shared commitment to promoting early exposure to the health professions and establishing pathways for future healthcare leaders. We are deeply grateful to the OTD and DPT faculty, staff, and students who made this experience possible—especially our faculty co-leads, Drs. Tomeico Faison, Cambey Mikush, and Jamie Greco, and our dedicated ImpACT Graduate Assistants: TK Mackey, Li Chen, Molly Collins, and Yaa Quaning.

Thank you for your continued support in creating meaningful opportunities that inspire and empower the next generation. We look forward to growing this initiative in the years ahead.
