Applications for the next cohort of Duke Next Generation Leaders for 2023 have opened! Launched in 2022, this is an initiative to identify promising postdocs within and outside of Duke ready to transition to the independent phase of their career with an emphasis on highlighting postdoctoral scientists from underepresented backgrounds. Please share this message with postdoctoral scholars/fellows in your network.
Out of the fellows from 2022, many have successfully obtained faculty positions or are well on their way to landing one. They reported a very positive experience not only from the symposium, but from the networking with the Duke academic community and their DNGL cohort members and DNGL mentors through our program
Interested candidates can contact Johnna Frierson, Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the Basic Sciences at johnna.frierson@duke.edu or visit our website for the link to the application.
The deadline for applications is Friday, March 24, 2023.
Lastly, please save the date for the DNGL Symposium which will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2023 from 9am-5pm. This event is open to everyone in the Duke academic community. Your help in spreading the word amongst the members of your department to both identify candidates and solicit attendance at the Symposium is much needed and appreciated.
