Jennifer Foreman, MA, is the Assistant Dean for Basic Science at the Duke University School of Medicine.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from the University of York (UK). She came to Duke in 2006, working first in the Department of Biology and then the Center for Genomic and Computational Biology before joining the Dean’s office in 2017.
Jennifer works cooperatively with the Vice Dean and Associate Dean for Basic Science, helping to advance strategic goals in the basic sciences. Functioning in a chief of staff capacity, she works in partnership with departments and administrative units to ensure activities and initiatives in the basic sciences are operating successfully.
Her areas of involvement include core facilities, faculty recruitment and retention, and basic science programming.
