Measurements serve as the basis for evaluation in almost all scientific disciplines, especially in physical sciences, medical studies and health care. There has been substantial statistical literature in the last several decades on assessing agreement that encompasses both reliability and reproducibility. This presentation provides a review on assessing agreement with emphasis on intuitive understanding and insights into both controversies and appropriate applications of agreement indices. A special attention is paid to the agreement measure of the relative area under the coverage probability curve.
