Reduction in Masking Throughout DUHS Begins June 13, 2023

Over the last few months, Duke Health leaders have observed a sustained decrease in COVID-19 case counts, hospitalizations, and deaths both locally, and nationally. As a result, the decision has been made to further relax masking requirements to a near pre-COVID-19 state.

Beginning June 13th, masking is optional for patients, visitors, and team members in most circumstances. Click here for guidelines and entity-specific exceptions. Signage will be posted to alert patients and visitors to locations where masking is still required.
