Stacy Palmer joined the School of Medicine in August 2017 and serves as the School’s Associate Dean for Strategic Planning and Chief of Staff. Stacy reports to Dean Mary E. Klotman, MD, and is responsible for strategic planning, measurement and communication of achievements towards the plan, and management of the Dean’s office and key strategic initiatives for the Dean.
Stacy joined the Duke University Health System as the Associate Director for Strategic and Clinical Services Planning in 2004 and also served as the Director of Planning for The Duke Cancer Institute before being named as the Associate Vice President for Strategic Planning and Business Development in 2014. Stacy started her career at Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte and also worked for several years as a healthcare consultant prior to joining Duke. Stacy earned her B.A. with a major in Government from The College of William and Mary and her MBA from Emory University.
