During her MS3 year, Sarah Freeman kept busy with publishing in prestigious journals as well as working with the State Department on pandemic responses at institutions of higher education around the US (talk about relevant!). Sarah describes her group's research as "looking to compare large public and private institutions in how they mitigated COVID 19 in the Fall 2020 semester...[and comparing] to Spring Semester." Her work highlights how young people were not engaged in decision making and hopes her work will encourage policy makers "to think more critically about how to win the hearts and minds of young folks to with the fight again COVID-19."
