The Duke University School of Medicine's Inclusion Council is made of faculty, staff, and trainees from all Departments within the School of Medicine. The Inclusion Council contains two parallel units. The General Body of our Inclusion Council, open to everyone within the School of Medicine, meets for education and networking opportunities. Inclusion Council delegates, made up of formal diversity and inclusion (D&I) leaders within Departments, Centers, and Institutes, meet to discuss and plan strategic initiatives within their units and the School of Medicine as a whole. Both the General Body and D&I Delegates meetings are conducted virtually via Zoom and meet every other month.
Inclusion Council General Body
All members of the Duke University School of Medicine are welcome to join the General Body of our Inclusion Council to learn more about diversity and inclusion and meet colleagues involved in D&I efforts. For more information on the General Body, or to join, email Lori Snider at Lori.Snider@duke.edu.
Inclusion Council Delegates Meetings
The Inclusion Council's Delegate Meetings allow designated D&I leaders within the School of Medicine to collaborate, share their progress and concerns, and advance D&I initiatives within the School and their own locations.
