Postdocs are invited to apply for Dr. George Gopen's workshop, "Writing from the Reader's Perspective". This immensely popular workshop is based on the concept that in order to improve writing, it is first necessary to understand the process of reading. The ideas presented in this workshop have changed participants' writing habits permanently, often resulting in improved grant-writing and publication success. TERMS OF ENROLLMENT: The Duke Office for Faculty Development has kindly reserved 20 seats for postdocs at this seminar. Because space is limited, please do not apply unless you are able to attend the entire seminar series. POSTDOCS WHO ARE ACCEPTED BUT FAIL TO ATTEND ALL OR PART OF THE SEMINAR SERIES WILL HAVE A $200 FINE ASSESSED TO THEIR PI/LAB.

WHO MAY APPLY: Applicants must have the job title of Postdoctoral Associate or Postdoctoral Scholar (if you don't know your job title, look up your name using the search box on the Duke homepage). Researchers in all  other categories (eg, Research Associate Senior, Research Scientist, Associate in Research, House Staff, Clinical Fellow) may join the waitlist at the Office for Faculty Development at https://dukefacdev.wufoo.com/forms/z1ro08oh0me9m8m/.
