With over $2 billion in funding available, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and the complementary Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are excellent sources of early funding to support research and development projects in early stage start-ups. Attend this intensive two-part seminar to learn how the SBIR and STTR programs can be used to obtain early funding for spin-out companies based on university innovation. Participants will learn from experts about the application and review process and best-practices for preparing a competitive proposal. This series is ideal for those thinking about submitting an SBIR/ STTR grant in September or January. Seminar will include panels of past SBIR/ STTR winners, and a panel of reviewers.
Co-sponsored by Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship and the North Carolina Small Business and Technology Center (SBTDC). For more information: http://dukesbirworkshop.eventbrite.com/
