Manager approval is required for staff members taking Phlebotomy Competency for Research. Information about approval is sent to the employee’s manager listed in the Learning Management System (LMS). When a staff member registers for the training it is important for the manager to go ahead and grant approval so the LMS does not cancel the employee’s registration in favor of another registrant who obtains approval first.
Applied Phlebotomy Part 1: Basic Venipuncture is the prerequisite for Phlebotomy Competency for Research. A member of the DOCR training staff will register participants for the prerequisite and send information about the requirement to the registrants via e-mail. Registrants who do not complete the required prerequisite at least one day prior to the class date will be dropped from the class and will not be permitted to attend.
