The Office for Faculty Development hosts New Faculty Orientation once a year. New Faculty Orientation is designed to give those who are relatively new to Duke an overview of research, education, and career development topics. The day also includes sessions on the appointments, promotion and tenure process at Duke. Faculty in attendance will have a chance to meet and interact with school leaders during orientation. Past participants include the Dean and Vice Deans of the School of Medicine.
The next New Faculty Orientation will be held in the fall of 2010. Information will be posted here as it becomes available.
Couldn't make it to the last orientation but still want to learn more? Below are handouts and presentations from the orientation in September 2009.
