Although the effects of Hurricane Sandy were minimal in Durham, many of us have friends and family who have been impacted by the storm's devastation. It is heartwrenching to see images of entire neighborhoods that have been destroyed, and lives that have been dramatically changed. One week after the storm, many people remain without homes, power, food, and gas.
The massive cleanup is just getting underway, and the victims face a long road of recovery and rebuilding. They continue to struggle. I know that many in the School of Medicine will want to reach out and find a way to help those in need. The links below offer opportunities to help, if you would like to do so.
